John George Wiseman. (1923-1943). War hero of Martham.
John is listed on the War Memorial as one of those who gave his life during the Second World War.

On that website there is a full description of him and how, with his comrades, he died on 14th February 1943. It is testimony to a hero that I cannot improve on so urge you to visit that site. John was a true son of Martham and there is a unique memorial to him near the roadside at Grange Farm on Repps Road.
