Farming photo album
Agriculture has always been the bedrock of the economy in Martham. In 1841 just over one in ten (113) of the population of the village worked as agricultural labourers and a similar number (138), or 12%, in 1891. This was more than double of those involved in any other job or occupation. The photo album below provides a glimpse of farm working in Martham in the past.
