Rev. Rye was born on 23^rd October 1929 at Loddon, Norfolk. His parents were Joseph J Rye & Daisy, nee Underwood.

Very little is known about him other than he was employed as the vicar of St Mary the Virgin between 1960 & 1967 as shown in the church registers that show he officiated at almost all the baptisms and marriages during this period.

Having left Norfolk, he died many years later on 22^nd July 1994 in Oxford, England.
