Rev. Richard Marris (c1653-1727) Vicar at Martham

Richard Marris was born in about 1653 but we do not know where.

He matriculated when he was 16 at St John’s College, Cambridge and subsequently qualified there as a Bachelor of Law in 1671 and Doctor of Law in 1682.

He was the vicar of St Peter & St Paul’s Church at Runham, Norfolk in 1686 and the vicar at St Mary the Virgin, Martham from 7th March 1695 until he died in 1727 aged 74. He was buried on 16th April 1727 in the chancel of St Mary the Virgin, Martham.
