On that website there is a full description of him and how, with his comrades, he died on 14th February 1943. It is testimony to a hero that I cannot improve on so urge you to visit that site. John was a true son of Martham and there is a unique memorial to him near the roadside at Grange Farm on Repps Road<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n
