He was the third child of Albert Ernest Bracey &amp; Henrietta, nee Broom. His two siblings were Albert Victor (b1894) and Gladys (b1896).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">When William was three he lived with his parents at <em><a href=\"https:\/\/marthamnorfolk.co.uk\/?page_id=376\">The Green <\/a><\/em>and was enrolled at the village school which he continued to attend until he was 14.&nbsp; He was listed in the 1911 census as living with his family at Morse House, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/marthamnorfolk.co.uk\/?page_id=4111\">Repps Road<\/a><\/em> at which time he was 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">William enlisted with the 7th Battalion Norfolk Regiment at Great Yarmouth. He was Private 19913 and was soon posted abroad and died of wounds when he was only 19 received at Flanders, France on 8th May 1917.
