Clement was born at Ingham to George Kirby &amp; Sarah, nee Simpson. He married Anna on 30<sup>th<\/sup> November 1851 at St Mary\u2019s Church at which time he was a blacksmith. They had three sons and three daughters between 1852 and 1869.
