Herbert was born on 14th<\/sup> August 1869 in Bexley Heath, Kent and was baptised on 4th<\/sup> April 1870 at Saint Stephen, Coleman Street, London. When he was a boy of 11 he lived with his parents at Lonsdale Lodge, High Street, Dulwich and his father was a tea dealer.<\/p>\n\n\n

Rev. Webster in his younger days after becoming a clergyman and apparently visiting or working in British Honduras (Belize)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

He was educated at Dulwich College and Emmanuel College, Cambridge where he achieved his BA in 1891 and MA in 1895. He was a curate at Beccles, Suffolk from 1892 to 1897 and a Missionary in British Honduras from 1897 to 1899. He was the Rector of St Augustine’s, Norwich from 1900 to 1906 and during this period was also the Chaplin and Private Secretary to the Bishop of Norwich from 1901 to 1906. In 1902 he married Harriette Louisa ANGELL at Wangford, Suffolk. They had a son called John Reginald Webster who was born in 1904 in Norwich.
He became the Vicar at Martham in 1906 and was the Hon. Secretary of Church Missionary Society for Flegg Deanery. He was also the President of the local cricket, football, quoits and other clubs and Societies in Flegg. He remained the Vicar at Martham until 1921.<\/p>\n\n\n

Herbert and his wife retired to Hove in Sussex where he died on 1st<\/sup> October 1837. Harriette died in 1955 at Buxton, Derbyshire.<\/p>\n\n\n
